When Asbestos is disturbed or damaged it is harmful to the respiratory system, increasing the chance of those exposed to it of getting two principal types of cancer which affects the lungs. Those exposed to Asbestos do not generally develop such diseases until 15 to 60 years following exposure.

Law Spot - Doors Open to Family Courts

From April 27, journalists have been allowed into family proceedings in the Magistrates, County and High Courts. They will not be allowed to identify the names of the parties or any children involved in the proceedings and the Courts will retain the right to exclude journalists from specific proceedings in the interests of children or the safety of parties or witnesses.

At the national conference of the Family Lawyers Association, “Resolution” last month there was a call for a radical overhaul of the law relating to divorce and in particular for no fault divorce to be back on the agenda.
