John was appointed as Senior Partner in 1999. He is responsible for leading the business and shaping it around the needs of our clients. He looks at the bigger picture with a view to gaining an understanding about the economy, developments within legal marketplace and most importantly what we need to do to support our clients.
John is also Head of the Banking and Corporate Department. He is particularly experienced in all aspects of banking law with an emphasis on advising banks and financial institutions on the taking and realising of its security including workouts, hive downs, priority arrangements. He also undertakes extensive work for administrative receivers, insolvency practitioners and Law of Property Act receivers in relation to sale of assets.
John has also had extensive experience in acting for financial institutions and banks in connection with overseas loans involving hotels and timeshare operations.
John is the author of ‘Property Act Receivers’ published in 2007 by Lime Legal. In his spare time John enjoys good food and fine wines and has been a keen skier for many years.
